Fuel shut off is at 6400. The stock LT4 power starts dropping off after 6000 rpm anyway. Its a whole different question for a modified engine with a bigger cam, exhaust, etc....

I think the question is: what valvetrain part prevents the motor from safely revving higher.
BTW my stock motor with intake, TB and no mufflers has a HP peak at 6100, so even a stock-internal motor can take advantage of the high rpm range. Just my .02 :)

I was shifting at 6100 (shift light) I set it to 6000 now and dropped a bit in the 1/4 and ran my best not taking it over 6000.
