Rear Defogger Tips Melting???!?!
Hey Guys,
Wonder if this has happend to other C4 Owners. My 93 has had this prob for a while now. On the back hatch glass where the defogger wiring meets the hatch lifts (shocks) there is a plastic clip that attaches the wiring to the wiring on the glass. Whenever I turn on the rear defogger, they get quite hot and start to melt the plastic on the clips.. The defogger works fine, but man the smell of burning plastic is nasty and they are starting to become deformed.
I checked the fuses and the right ones are in there. Anyone have any ideas? Is this a recall? :confused:

If its getting hot... means there is a high resistance connection @ the hot spot {this is called I2R losses, current squared times resistance = power dissipated}.
Disconnect it & clean em. If the connections are corroded replace 'em. :seeya
