What better way to compliment LPE's headwork than with one of their proven cams? 74219 is THE CAM ;).

Don't get me wrong- LPE is a very reputable company that does excellent work(I have bought a few things from them myself), however, they are waaaaaaaaaaay over priced($2000 + core for a set of CNC'd LT1 heads?- You're kidding, right?). You will be satisfied with which ever cam/heads that you choose. Do a lot of research and price comparison. The most $$$$ does not always = better. I like the Hot cam. GM designed it for the LT1-LT4 engines. It works great with a 6 speed and it is around $100 difference in price(cam alone- not including other hardware that you will need) than the LPE cams, uh.........or should I say "Accel" cams with LPE's name on them. $100 is $100. $200 is $200. The more that I can pocket and still achieve the same results is more that I can spend on other things to make me go faster. Check around. Do a poll here on the forum to find out which cam people are running and how they like them. Do one for the heads as well. Good luck.

Either way both cam are good, It just depends on what you want. The Hot cam is a more agressive cam, it will make more hp, but it will have less off idle torque and a lumpier idle.

The hot cam is fine with A 6m, but I like the 219 with a 4A.

Not so sure about the 219, that's designed for use with the Superram intake. Dunno, it may work ok on an LT1, but I would run that by LPE first to see what they think.

I am going to throw this cam into the mix.$ 300 bucks with springs. This is a Schneider Cam that I would ask to be ground on 112 LSA and run it 2 degrees advanced with 1.5 rockers.I would use 1.6 rockers with good heads.

You do not see many six speed 350 LT-1's with the LPE 219 cam or ZZ9 cam around here. It seems like the 219 works real well in the 383 for alot of forum members. Had the ZZ9 cam in my 350 before the 396 stroker motor and I was real pleased with it. Good low-mid torque, idled like stock and still had respecable top end HP. Dyno'd at 362HP/360torque with the ZZ9. There are alot of guys with 6m and the hotcam that are happy as well.

LPE 219 cam designed for use both superram and stock LT1 Intake. 2 yrs ago I was tore between GM hot cam and 219. I decided 219 intead the hot cam. 219 cam idle like stocker no loppy. Short duration and high lift good the street and driveability with a high cost $324 ship to your door where that hot cam can get much cheaper price.

I'm going to go with either one. Just depends on my mood for the day and if I want to shell out the extra dough so that I have something "LPE" in my engine.
