Default Does this sound light a headlight gear problem?

Passenger side on a 90 coupe. When I turn on the lights she only goes half way up. So I tried to manually raise it and the **** turns and then halfway through the rotation it hits a dead spot for a couple of turns and then it will catch again and go all the way up. Every now and again it flips all the way but after a I hit a big bump in the road.... down it goes. After I shut the lights off the passenger motor runs for 5 seconds longer than the drivers. (relay maybe)
Needing some help before I start throwing parts at it. Thanks

It sure sounds like the nylon bushings. They are only a few $$ from MAD. I've done both sides and the gears were fine while the bushings needed R&R.

Exact same problem I had with my '92. I purhcased a bushing set from MidWest for $4.99 and it works perfect again.

Definately the bushings. The gear, although plastic, is pretty durable and takes a lot of force to break.

My passenger side headlight does the same exact thing. Thanks for the post, guess I'll be ordering some bushings!
