Hello,
I hear some of you guys talking about Data Logging with these cars as a troubleshooting aid. Does anyone have the name of some good software and cost? I can make the cable but would need some instruction. What all is needed? Is this software looking at all I/O of the different systems?
Last but not least-will this work on a 1993 Vette LT1? OBD1?
Thanks
What kind of info can you retrieve? Temps, pressures, ETC?
Me too. I also use DIACOM as it is older and TTS datamster will rad the files.
TTS is great, and get the software and cable through AKMCABLES.
DIACOM is older, but you need an old computer, like mine a 486X
Its DOS based.
On my 95 I use DataMaster TTS for data logging. It works great and gives you info on just about anything you could want. There is a trial version on the website that will give you approximately 20 recording sessions. I use a USB to OBDII cable that I purchased from Moates. My 1995 has a OBDII connection on a OBDI computer. Pre-1995 LT1's have OBDI connection and computer. For Tuning I use TunerCat software. There is also a 30 day free trial of this software. You will still need to purchase the Definition file for TunerCat to read your particular car which is approximately $20. Laptops are cheap now and can be bought for $350-450 new. If someone is looking for one, check the weekend ads for Office Depot, Comp USA, Best Buy, and Circuit City. A good place to start is with a custom tune. I had two emailed to me from PCMFORLESS for $75. One nitrous tune and one NA tune that I can swap between.
