Default Fuel starvation / hard cornering

I have this problem since i bought my car, but it was only with 1/4 or less fuel filled. Now, with all mods problem is worse. I must have at least 1/2 tank filled.
I've searched a bit and it looks like this problem is very common with C4.
Have any of you had this problem and how did you solve it?
I'm not interested in "allways have a full tank" solution.

...this is relavent...are you sure your fuel gauge is accurate?...there was recently a guy that had a similar problem and it turned out that his gauge was way off......he fixed it and the car was fixed....

I checked gauge when problem first started and it's not the problem.
If I drive slowly I can make 100-120 miles with same amount of fuel that
causes problems in fast corners.

This is definitely a problem on C4's. You can do a search over in the roadracing section of the forum for a few ideas, but there really has not been a good simple complete fix that I've seen. I do recall seeing something over there where a guy installed a cylinder shaped baffle around the fuel pickup which seemed to help. I have also heard some guys say that the height of the pickup in the tank can be off (too high), which is a relatively easy fix. It doesn't solve the problem, but makes it a bit better.

Some of the more complicated fixes are:
1) Get a ZR1 tank since they have dual pickups
2) install baffling in the stock tank (Exotic muscle offers this, but it's not cheap)
3) Install a racing fuel cell with a sump and baffling

Needless to say, most of the C4 guys go with the "keep it full" option.

Our club runs a lot of C4's in auto-x and we all have the same problem.

I have the same problem -- but -- I just installed a "85" pump. Before I put everything back together I stuck my hand in the tank to see / feel if there was anything odd in there ( nuts, bolts, dolls heads ). I did find a plastic troth the pump sock sits in ------ Wait a minute this tank is a "85" replacement tank. Now I have another reason to go way too fast in a right handed . As soon as I waste 3/4 of a tank I'll post

I have almost ran out of gas on the track without problems. I did have the sender out and checked the yellow plastic tray in the tank to be sure it was in place. I also put a new sock on and have it pointed toward the front of the car.

Soooo -- I'm down to 1/4 of a tank -- went to my favorite long expanding radius turn ( Southern State Pkwy. West - on to - Robert Moses Cswy. South ). Anything below 2/3rds. and the vette would run like crap 1/2 way through -- to day it pulled hard all the way .
I'm gonna do it again tomorrow ( if it don't rain )

I have had several problems @ TWS with fuel starvation at anything below about 3/5's of a tank. The C4 tank is huge, and all that extra weight isn't making the car faster.

I would imagine a ZR1 tank is pretty pricey. I guess I could try the DYI baffling mod, so long as I get all the gas out so I can weld in there...

Fuel cell sounds like the best option, but it won't be cheap...

my car just barely does this. I wonder if it is possible to install a front mounted "fuel surplus" tank that would hold 1/4 gallon of fuel at pressure and then feed it directly to the engine, that way when going around a fast corner the fuel slosh in the gas tank wont starve the engine of fuel, because of the extra fuel resuvour up front.
possible? yes?, no?

I have owned my 84 for 12 years. Once I replaced the fuel pump all hesitation and stumbling when leaving corners disappeared. Ride on.

Here is a thread that helped me. I'n my case I zip tied the O2 Sensor wire away from the hot pipes and it fixed my problem with stalling on cornering:
