My digital display on my 88 climate control is flickering. It's wierd! When I step on the brake of flip the lights on it stops flickering. Does it need a new one? Has anyone tried this guy for rebuilds?

Mine is also sometimes flaky. Seems that mine likes to have the EXT TEMP button pushed to wake it back up. However, you can fix most of this yourself by using a contact cleaner from Radio Shack to clean the major contact points. Mine almost never burps any more after doing this. There are some posts in the search that will describe and give tips.
