Torque Converter Problem

After many years and continual traction problems (596 rwhp)I pulled the 2800 stall speed converter and installed a 1800/2000 unit. This sucker flashes to 5000 rpm and I've lost over 100 horses at the rear wheels. What STUPID thing did I do?? What am I missing?

My guess would be that you either got the wrong converter or the one you have couldn't take the power and the fins are now bent.

I don't think you did anything stupid, I think you justhave a bad converter.
