Backup light question

Hi,

I have a 1992 with a manual transmission and I noticed that the backup lights are not working. I checked the bulbs and they are fine. My question is how can I check the backup switch? Can I reach it under the car or can I access it from the interior. If I can reach it from the top, how do I remove the boot to gain access to it?

You can unplug the backup switch, jump the socket and see if your backup lights come on. You need a thin wall 7/8" socket to get the backup switch off.
