I am in the process of replacing the brake booster and master cylinder in my 89 vert. I was going to remove the drivers seat to give me more room to work since I'm a pretty big guy. I got the seat unbolted, but can't get the wiring connector apart, I'm sure there is a simple way of doing this but I just don't see it. Also in removing the hush panel I removed the screws along the front and disconnected the light, I see some kind of a pin going through the panel in the rear, is this what is keeping it from coming out. Help please!!!!!!
The power seat conections on my 94 were hard at first too. They are held together by hinged clips on both sides, that are released with a small screw driver, prying up on the ends. The pin your refer to, sorry, no idea. Never been there.

Yes I saw 4 hinged clips on the connection, 2 at the top and 2 at the bottom, unsnapped all 4 but it still would't come apart
gently twisting between the connections with the screw driver should disconect what has been together for 18 years. My hinged pieces broke, but I have no problem with my seats working.

OK got the connection apart, thanks for your help. Now to get the hush panel out!!!!!! Looks like it's going to be fun getting at the nuts holding the booster on, (tight quarters)

It definitely is a PITA getting the booster off. The bolt on the gas petal side is not too bad the other one though… It almost seems like it would be worth while pulling the steering column out so you can get at it. I did finally get mine with a ¼ drive ratchet and about 3” extension.
The hush panel is connected with three screws and one pressure clip (similiar to what holds brake rotors on. The screws go across the front of the panel and the clip is near the floorboard by the brake. Simply cut it, bend it or pry it off. A new one can be easily found in any autoparts store, Lowes or Home Depot. Hope this helps.

Thanks, I pryed it off and the Hush panel came right out, now for the hard part of getting the booster out.
