94 blowing start switch

94 blowing start switch

i keep blowong the start fuse. I replace it and a few starts later it pops...

Not sure what is the problem. I am noticing the temperature shoots up to +220 degrees. could this be the cause??

Not likely. More likely that the starter is drawing too much current. Besides the work getting it out, it should be less than $50 to get it rebuilt. Have the solenoid checked at the same time.

Seems to me the start relay just enables the starter solinoid. I would think the problem is between the ign.switch block and the relay no?

sorry for the bad info but actually it was the fuse that blew and not the switch... I started a new thread with the correct information cause i did not know how to fix the current thread..

none the less the fuse is between the relay and ign.switch.
