Engine Install Question
I'm getting ready to put the engine back in my 85 again and when I pulled it almost a year ago I pulled the transmission out first from under the car with the cherry picker supporting the motor then lowered it and pulled the engine but since then I now have a two post hoist and a tall transmission jack too so I'm thinking it would be much easier to install the engine first then support the back of it somehow and then raise the car up in the air and put the transmission in from underneath. I don't think I should rely on the motor mounts to support the whole thing though and am wondering if anybody has a good way to support the rear of the block while I'm installing the trans and c-beam?
