Default Problems with Hypertech-need another device

I obtained a Power Programmer for my LT4 which seemed to work ok except I could not recalibrate the speedo. I took it to a professional shop and they told me that the PP had issues and to contact Hypertech which I did. After going through a couple of emails they informed me that my device was too old that they did not use that stype/type of electronics anymore and they only warrantied it for the original owner so there is nothing they can do. I vowed to never use thier products again so the question who else is out there?

I would recommend taking it to a tuner that could also perform a dyno tune, which would especially be beneficial if you have done any mods to the LT4. While the tuner has it they could change the speedo, fan on/off temps, cags, etc. There are cheaper alternatives, but they are "canned" programs where you would pull the pcm and send it out to someone for programming such as http://www.pcmforless.com . I would also dispose of the HPP, or use it as a paperweight.

The HPP? You mean the Hypertech Power Programmer? The one i have you plug in and program whatever and then disconnect it.

I have decided to go with PCM4Less, they seem to be much more tuned in.
