Default O2 Sensor Relocation

I have some QTP Electric Cut-outs that are causing me a problem. I had them installed right at the 90 degree bend in the exhuast manifold. This is causing a service light to come on because the car thinks that the O2 sensor has gone out everytime I open the cut-outs. How would I go about relocating the sensor? Is there a limitation to where I can put it other than space availablitity? What materials would be needed for the project?
