Perhaps I am missing something. I ordered an Accel sr manifold. Twice now, Summit has sent the Edlebrock High Flo. Does Accel use Edlebrock for some of thier parts?

Thanks,

Dave

Accel doesn't seem to be making them at the moment. Lingenfelter, so I was told, isn't listing them either any more on their website. The Edelbrock, Accel and TPIS bigmouth all seem to be much about the same.

I always thought that Accel used the Edelbrock base.

I have the Edelbrock Hi-Flo base with my SR plenum and runners. Here are a couple things I came across.

-I had to notch my valve covers to clear the runners in order to get them on.

-My distributor base(stock) interfered with the top of the runner on my manifold on the last drivers side air runner hump.

The Accel (superram) runner to manifold gaskets are not a great fit on the edelbrock base.

Thanks,

Edelbrock makes (or should I say made?) the manifolds for both Accel and TPiS, as well as their own version. The Edelbrock manifold is more or less identical to both, with the exception of the "Edelbrock" script cast into the manifold.
