Springs and Things
Question for all the gurus out there.... my vette has the base springs and I was wondering if the stock Z51's would bolt right in with no other mods, or should I just look into aftermarket springs which seem to be listed for all 84-96 models. I would think if the aftermarkets fit all years then the Z51's would also. Anybody have any thoughts, suggestions or gripes about the aftermarket springs? Probably going to replace the rear 24mm bar with a 26mm stocker also. It doesn't handle bad at all, I'm just looking for thoughts in this area because my front and rear springs look like they're cracking- maybe delaminating?? When I saw this I asked the dealer and was told it wasn't a safety issue so they wouldn't replace them, but I didn't push the issue. Maybe I should, they definately look defective to me. Anyone elses springs ever do this? Thanks for any help.

there are a number of options...
you need to be carefull picking Z51 springs... the early ones are super stiff.
the aftermarket composites are much nicer... all in all...
there is a web site... I just don't have the link anymore... or cannot find it... or it is at work... but this site has all the suspension ratings of all the C4s. maybe someone here can remind me of it... :)
