low fluid light

Default low fluid light

new in game.
I got a 85 about 4 week ago . When I got it the low fluid
light came on .check fluid it good.., they had the oil temp on.I would like ????
to know my water temp is? oil temp is about 225 normal driving
what do I need to fix it ? burt it ?

1...if you plan on keeping the car, you will need to get a HELMS service manual.
2...WHICH fluid light is on? (brakes, coolant...)

The only "fluid" light on an 85 is the Low Coolant Light.

If the radiator has not been properly burped, the light will illuminate steady.

Otherwise, it can be a general annoyance illuminating at random.
I disconnect it and run the connector to ground to keep the light out when autocrossing and spirited driving. Otherwise it still pops up when rolling along at 55.

It is the low coolant light.
I will burp the system after I replace the thermosat to 170
gasket leaks any way.
And coolant temperature sensor.
The only manual I have is a Haynes no good info on some thing!
SO I will get the HELMS service manual

Remember to drill two 1/8" holes in the t-stat body. This will greatly assist with burping the system.
