My Vette is a 96 and the tail lights went out along with the fog, side, gauges and console light. I've checked every fuse for continuity, including the maxi fuses. There all good. I've checked all the outside lights and found 2 bad bulbs and replaced them. From what I understand the break lights are all tied into the inside lights and are supposed to go out when tail lights are out as a warning that the tail lights are out. Does anyone know anything else I cad do ? Thanks.
I don't think that all of the other lights are supposed to go out with your tail lights. I have a '94 and it has never done this. Do you think that you possibly lost a ground somewhere ? It would seem like a likely culprit for these symptoms.
You need to use a volt meter to narrow down where the problem is.
If your Headlight Door Motors don't work, and the Horn doesn't work, check for 12 volts at the Underhood Fuse Block #2 Exterior Lighting fuse #6 which is a 60 amps. (Hot at all times)
If the Headlight Door Motors and Horn work, verify 12 volts at the passengerside fuse box Tail Fuse #6 15 amp. (Hot at all times).
