Default Brake questions

What's the average cost for new rotors? My '87 has a pretty bad shake when the brakes are applied so I plan to have the front rotors turned if I can but I'd be very surprised if they were in good enough condition for that. I also plan to replace the rubber brake lines, do the braded metal lines really offer a huge benefit? I'm pretty happy with the braking ability as it is, it's just that evil shimmy I wanna kill.

Given the condition the previous owner left everything in Bryant, I'd go with new rotors. There are mixed reviews on steel braided brake lines. They give a solid feel but some have had the teflon liner brake on them and cause leaks. You can finally get them DOT approved.

You should be able to get stock rotors for about $50 each from 18carfan. Look Jeff up and give him a buzz.
