Re: NEED IMMEDIATE HELP Door Panel Removal (DON 91Cpe TM)
When I took the door panels off of my '88 vert there were a string of screws along the bottom edge ( I'm sure you got those), three screws in the door handle bezel (two in bottom and one upeer forner), and one screw on the outside door edge (near the lock mechanism). I then pulled out lightly on the bottom, lifted and pushed forward. That was about all. After the door panel came off I had to detch several electrical connectors, but that was it. Your '91 might be different tho.

Did you get the screw behind the lock rod. When you pop off the plastic door lock there is a screw behind the rod. Just move the rod up or down and you will see it.
If you remove the right side door panel there is a hidden 7mm bolt behind the power window switch. Pry the switch out of the door panel and you will see a 7mm bolt holding a bracket to the door.

Thanks for the help Guys. I think Corvette ED hit the nail on the head screw behind the lock rod. Haven't found it yet because I don't know how to get the power lock button off???? Does it pop forward, out or what ??? lots of pressure?? Thanks Don

to remove that door lock mechanism, use a small flat-head screwdriver and gently pry the plastic thing away from the door panel at the front of the piece. It will break if you're not careful, so just pry it a little, then try to pull it with your fingers and it should come out.
look at my page I worked up and you'll see the sliding mechanism without the plastic piece on it to give you an idea of what you're working with.
