I have all the symptoms of vapor lock on my LT1 94 coupe. If I drive for a long time (I live in Orlando, FL) and stop the car when it is hot for a short time - it won't restart. Spit and chugs like crazy but won't fire. If I let it cool down, it starts fine.
Anyone had experience with this and might suggest a solution?
Vapor lock to me is not turning over at all from gas or water. If you don't have a lot of white smoke from coolant, next would be to check the injectors for leaking. Try opening the throttle before starting to let the gas vapor out, you should be able to smell a strong gas smell in the TB if you check.
A vapor lock is something that doesn't happen to cars with the fuel pump in the gas tank. Try turning the key on without starting and listen for the fuel pump to run for about 3 seconds. Then continue turning the switch to start. This way you'll have fuel pressure to the injectors.

I had an injector leak so bad that it locked. I was testing some things and turned the key on multiple times, each time the injector leaked more and more. It wouldn't turn over till I left the TB open for awhile. Then the oil level was way up, filled with gas.
........it has the symptoms of being "flooded" out due to leakey injectors...hold pedal to floor and then crank...it should start faster although this won't do much for the after start issues...except that you plugs could be "fuel fouled"(?).......good luck......

That's not a vapor lock that is a hydraulic lock if the cylinder is full of gas. Fix the leaky injector or just replace them.

Sounds to me like a bad injector
Check your ohm reading of all injectors should all be close to each other if one is off bad injector the coil on the injector doesnt work well under heat
Evaporative Emission Controls and electronic fuel injection pretty much cured vapor lock. You can rule it out by clamping off the inlet hose from the Charcoal Canister. If it goes away - the problem is in that system. Either a fuel soaked canister or a check valve which should be keeping the fumes in the tank until it's started.
