Shift points
I just got the Hypertech power programmer and it has a area for changing shift points. What should I change it to optimize shift points? 1 mph adjustments it has on there. Thanks

It shifts quicker and very firm when accelerating moderately to all out.
You can always change it by reprogramming it anywhere in between.
Try it, you'll like it, guaranteed.

Well tonight I adjusted the shift points I gotta say Im impressed and worried alittle too. I changed mine to +6 from 1st-2nd, +3 from 2nd-3rd, +2 from 3rd-4th. I got rid of that dead spot from 30mph to 40mph that I addressed in earlier trends. I also broke the azz end loose at 46mph. I was impressed. But I also noticed that Im tachin out past the 6000 rpm mark. I did set the rev limiter for 6400 like the book says but is this to harsh?

no reason to run a stock LT1 that high.

I think the stock is 5500 anyway. Ill change it to 5800 to be alittle safer. But why does the "Power Tuning" ,which sets low fans, 160 stat, firm shifts, top speed eliminate, and rev to 6400, set it to that setting automatically? Im going to email hypertech and find out more.
