Default Intermittent stall from idle.

My '92 6 spd. has started to stall after driving it for awhile. If I stop at a light it cuts off. Then I have to restart and keep my foot on the gas. I was looking for a vacuum leak to no avail. It does not do this all the time, only long enough to drive me crazy.

Sounds like the IAC valve in the throttle body. Sometimes you can pull them out and clean them. They get a build up in them and start to stick. Otherwise replace it.

I have a like situation with my 90 with 50k. My car is at a local shop now and I will let you know (not that we may have similar problems) the outcome.

Best of luck.

I replaced the idle air control (IAC) and that solved my problem. They are under $50 and easy to replace.

The IAC motor connector is located under the RH side of the TB.

The procedure to reset base idle is on my site; just ignore the part about setting the TPS as your's isn't adjustable.
