Woudn't it be more effecient to add a single turbo? Theres a guy around here that will put a turbo on anything. Recently he used two turbos off of a T-bird and plumbed them in on a 383....resting in a 68-69 ss camaro. He says it will do 12's. I've seen pictures of turbo setups on L98's (on this forum) but the cost and labor is insane. You could easily build a bigger cubed small block that can make the same power as a turbo setup on a stock L98. And I would bet that the N/A small block would be more reliable!
you dont add twin turbos, the b2k callaway vettes had very different internals.
That is not what I asked. I will try and make this simple. Has any one added an AFTERMARKET Twin turbo or a turbo to a L98. I also said other than Callaway.
Callaway sell TT Aftermarket conversions http://www.callawaycars.com/From_home/NewProducts.htm
But only on 92 and newer. Cost lots of $$$$$.
I'm looking for some real feedback here. There's a couple people think that I'm insane because I showed taillights to a Callaway running 12.7's??
Cook Performance in the NYC does any turbo plumbing you can imagine.
Plan on getting an aftermarket ECM system or auxillary fuel enrichment system at the same time... turbos are one thing. Tuning the package to work is entirely another.
1. call callaway and see if they would sell you some parts, then get over what price they give you for just the parts.
2. Fab up some stuff on your own
3. pay someone to fab up some stuff for you.
4. Sell your car and find a callaway to buy.
There is this one guy that did it, http://www.geocities.com/jerrysturbovette/home.html , If you check out the specs you will see he thanks turbo specialties for the turbos, if I remember correctly they did the exhuast manifolds as well. Maybe they can hook you up. (given you like that set up)

I don't want to step on anyones toes.,. but I think Snackdragons just meant the stock bottom end of your motor may not hold up to the boost of twin turbos
Dwain, Callaway doesn't do a twinturbo on the 92 and later LT1s. They bore and stroke to a 383 with top quality parts and call them supernatural because they are NA.
More cubes.... and a super charge :) .. I don't like turbo's on these big cube engines.
And why is that??? :blueangel:
I'm interested in knowing myself. I'd rather have steady boost from 3k to whateverk than constantly building boost.
The turbo is becoming far more effecient that a supercharger. Doesn't a supercharger rob about 30% of your power whereas a turbo is nothing but a solid power adder? I'd love to do a turbo, but in my opinion making more cubes is more practical.

It was the 383 page My mistake on the page. I'll call in the morning for more info.
