Default Differences in Lt1 intake?

Hi i'm looking at buying an Lt1 intake from a 1996 caddy with a 350 he says. Is the intake the same on the caddy lt1 as an f-body or vette? The part/casting number he gave was 10108630. Can anyone provide insight? I can't find anything

it's different... but I don't know HOW different.

The LT1 in the caddy was the same as the LT1 in the Impala SS and Buick Roadmaster. It had iron heads.

I am sure it will bolt up to an engine... but there are other things on it, because the air breather mounted on top of the engine.

will it increase hp over the stock l98? or is it just the air breather? I'm just looking to modify the intake for the aluminum heads on my 89

same, no diff, with that casting #....there is a smaller intake that looks almost identical that was used on the ''baby lt1'' -- the ''l99'', used on many caprices, never on other lines... 92-93 lt1's do not have the ''notch'' on top for the ''fuel crossover pipe'' and corresponding ''bump'' inside that reduces airflow altho fuel piping is not as easy/neat as 94-96...all vette fuel rails are longer than other GM and must be modded to use on l98 conversion for HEI clearance, caddy/caprice/ camo fuel rails will miss the HEI by simply rerouting feed/return oem piping.

throttlebody (air intake) is same... caddy/ caprice have a silencer (aka ''home plate) that is a just a bolt-on, many b-body (caddy/cap) guys just toss it.

adds abt 50 hp to the l98 by increasing torque dramatically in 4500 rpm+ operations, with abt 10 ft/lb torque loss off l98 stock 3500-4000 rpm range.

oops...meant to say 96 caddy lt1 intake is exactly the same as 96 lt1 vette...performance increase is huge, you won't believe your vette is the same car when you replace the tpi with the lt1 intake....lt4 intake will not fit, l99 intake will work but will leave a few ponies in the barn vs the lt1 intake (casting #'s are diff for lt4 and l99)

always check casting #'s as some lt1's got the smaller l99 intake and some l99 caprices left the factory with the lt1 intake...if the first four digits are 1010, grab it.
