Distributor leaking oil
I have a 91 Vette with the Holley Stealth Ram. The coil is now remote since it is too big to sit on top of the cap. I have taken the distributor from my 91 Firebird with the remote coil.
I have found an oil puddle in front of the distributor. I suspect the distributor gasket being bad. I just got a Fel-Pro unit to replace it. However, because there is some oil between the bottom of the distributor and the manifold, I am suspicious of the distributor. Could it somehow be sucking oil somewhere besides the gasket? Maybe it is just the gasket leaking and the oil gets blown around. Any ideas?
If I need to replace the distributor, what should I get? This is a distributor from my 91 Firebird that got wrecked.
