any hints on removing that #8 plug ??
LT4 motor.
It's looks like I may remove the wire loom holder, or slice and dice my hands. Havn't decided which one is easier
On my L98 I have the two AIR tubes removed along with the A/C compressor rear brace.
Then I slide the socket over the spark plug and use a 5/8" open-end wrench on the end of the socket.
Had the same concern a while back - 96 LT1 -. I wasn't changing the plug, only the plug wires.
I ended up getting to it by standing on the driver's side of the car, hoisting myself up and laying on the top of the engine. That allowed me to reach old #8.
On my 96', I went thru the inner fender well. It took an hour to get #8 out and put replacement in. Think I still have cuts on both hands. I used a two inch legnth of heater hose to rethread the new plug. Good luck.
