I'm replacing the antenna in an '85. I've got the antenna lead exposed, but can't figure out how to disconnect it. I'm asking for advice because my tendency is to pull harder and harder until something breaks. The connection swivels both ways, but at no point can I get it apart. Any advice or tips?

there should be a tab thingy that holds the 2 halves together. I would get a small screw driver and pull the tab/tang thingy...
