89 Turbo Vette
I was looking at the new issue of Hot Rod and I saw a 89 turbo vette. It made 1300 HP, and ran 11,s @157mph. I was wanting to do a similar set up on my car. I was wondering if any one on the forum has done a any thing with turbos or has any info on them in this type of application? I like the Idea of turbos over a supercharger. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

There is this guy who is building a 420 TT C4, he said he is going to install 2 GT 40 turbos, they should be good for around 700 HP each. We'll see how it goes.

Hey when you push your car to the limit things break. I will stop by and look at them this week. I am going to do turbos, Dam a supercharger.

I got the issue last night. All top names have been involved in the project. John Meaney owns the car - developer of DFI, FAST, and consulted on the Holley Commander, Mike Moran built the motor, Troy Trepannier did fab work, just to name a few. It's all motor and trans - the rest of the car is stock :eek: Said they got thrown off the track after the 150+ mph pass for no parachute. They covered the final 1/8th in 3.3 seconds. You've got to get ahold of this issue - Popular Hot Rodding. Cam Evans said he had the car @ 170 mph in traffic :eek: Supposedly all on pump gas. In-freekin-credible. Said that the Corvette was the only car stable enough in stock form to handle the power :D

Don't you think the intake feed is a bit small? the air will have one hell of a head of steam on its way in, tho!!!!!

Is it in both hot rod and popular hot rodding? I went looking just now, were still with the december issues here.
As for jerrys car, he sent me a video, the same one is DL able from his web page, I think he said he left at idle from the line, he ran a 11.22 at 120 MPH.

We went 11.10 on drag radials last Sunday. I have to leave at an idle. I made 2 attempts to leave on boost and it blows the tires off it. Maybe this Sunday we will see 10's. I cant turn the boost up any more due to lack of fuel. Anybody want to buy some 37lb. per hour injectors?

93 Polo, i just got home from Steele, sorry i didnt see the post in time to let you know. I went today with hopes of bringing home a 10 second time slip on the Nittos. Got close but that doesnt count.
