is it cracking? Also, my belt used to make alot of noise because the compressor had went out and was locking up, it was on the verge of breaking the belt when i unplugged it.

Two things.
If the belt has 5 or 6 cracks per inch it definately needs to be replaced. When you do, clean, I mean really clean, the grooves in the pulleys. (all of them) it should run quiet then. Is there any vibration?

No, I don't notice any vibration, and the belt doesn't appear to have any cracks or deterioration.
Two things.
