Default Super Ram installed

Folks,

I installed an SR, and Edlebrock Hi Flo manifold. The install was time consuming and sometimes frustrating. Vader's page was very helpful and I used the tips he recommended.

Car runs great and I do get a sotp change above 3500 rpm's.

I will be taking it to get dynoed and a custom chip tune next. Since this is my 2nd stage, I will report the numbers after the dyno.

The TIPS headers, high flo cat and Borla cat back netted around 30 rwhp when I completed them earlier this year.

Thanks to all that have posted tips and progress on their projects, as they have been very helpful.

Dave

I've always thought it was one of the neatest looking intakes...how does it run?

Car runs great. Turned right over after the install was finished. mileage seems to have increased slighty (1-2 mpg).

Mods are as follows:
Frisbee removal
AIR delete
Fast chip Accel ignition
TPIS headers
Borla cat back
Magnaflow high flo cat
MAT relocation
K/N filter
Cut lid

The above came out to 226 rwhp, 299 rwtq. My baseline dyno was 196 rwhp, 279 rwtq.

I will attmept a dyno this week to find out how the SR and manifold helped. I am not doing a cam or heads at this point. Once the motor is a little more tired, I will bolt this stuff onto a ZZ4 or ZZ383 crate motor.

With your current mods, you will not gain a lot from a custom chip. You will need the chip when you change the cam. A good chip at this point will just fine tune things, but not gain much HP.

Disagree with ya, Do a search and you'll find those of us who had chip by Alvin @ pcmforless and DID net gain in rwhp...
