Hot Cam question
I have a 94 LT1 6speed. Basically stock except for K & N with open lid, Hooker shorties and Corsa cat-back. I am looking into a Hot Cam kit to add a little power.
Dumb question...do I have to reflash ECU after install?

Perhaps a little if any. I don't think you will need the higher rpm tach gauge unless you want it for looks. You might want to have some other things upgraded while doing the hotcam (valves, springs, lifters, roller rockers, heads, ect.) It will also need a good, almost on spot, tune. Best would be to have it dyno tuned. Mine has a mail order tune and is ok, but when the engine is cold there is a low rpm "bucking" until the ECM is closed loop. This, I have read, is common with a cam upgrade before tune or not a great tune. A local tuner quoted me $500 for a dyno tune.
