Default Header install - heads in or out?

I realise that the heads have to be installed to bolt up new headers, however I am taking my heads off next week and I am also thinking of installing long tubes. I heard some horror stories about long tubes being difficult to 'get into place' - so while the heads are off is it a good idea to move the new LT's into position?

Oh - and best LT's for CNC ported LT-4 heads...??

Cheers

Honestly, I dont think its really going to matter if the heads are on first or not. They get caught up on other things like the starter, not the heads.

just put the engine together then deal with the headers after.
this isnt a muscle car where you have to jack the engine up to slide them by. you go at it from under the car.
