Question ref changing gear ratio
I have a 1989 L98 A/T w/ the D36 & 2.59 gears. I'm looking @ changing them to 3.73's. I've told that I would need to go to a D44 before I can change to 3.73's.

not true you will have to buy what are referred to as thick gears i put 3.54 in mine you might want to rethink 3.73.if you do alot of highway driving or car is used as dd geo. ps you will notice a huge diff. with 3.54
