Setting for fuel pressure?
Want to install a fuel pressure regulator, but do not know how much is the best psi for the pressure. A friend said it should be 47 psi for my 93 C4. My Vette has a performace EPROM, 160 degree stat, K&N air filter, Accel 300+ ignition and coil, Accel extreme 9000 wires, Splitfire tripple platinum plugs, Borla mufflers, 3.45 rear differential, 6 spd trans. Any information will be appreciated.

It's best to start with your stock pressure, so measure it before you install the AFPR. Then change FP by say 4psi increments till you pass through the sweet spot and back off by 2psi. A scan tool and some kind of dyno (dyno, G-Tech, time slips, etc) are useful tools.

So the ECM will quickly adjust part throttle (closed loop) fuel/air for best performance. The AFPR allows optimum tuning during open loop mode on a WOT run since the ECM ignors O2 sensor data in open loop. You can use a scan tool to read O2 sensor values and target .910-.920V at WOT as a crude tune. A wide band O2 sensor, such as used during a dyno pull, showed that for my setup this is the O2 sensor reading for optimum fuel/air at WOT.
