I went to turn on my wipers today in my 95 and they turned on fine. Problem is there was no intermittent operation. Low worked fine hi worked fine but no off. I can turn the switch to the off posistion, turn off the car and they shut off, but that's it. If it's the wiper/turn signal switch, where is a good place to buy one and how hard is it to replace. Thanks.
I have a similar problem - I have off & high, but no low or intermittant. In my case, it's not the switch. I've diagnosed it to the "wiper cover" (pcb board) but haven't replaced it yet. Get a FSM and go through the test procedure in there so you don't end up doing unecessary disassembly and parts replacement.

I had same problem with my 87..
replaced circuit board, didn't help..
bought NEW wiper switch from GM [ $43.] wholesale..didn't fix it...
I put the switch in a position that didn't work and hit the wiper motor with a small hammer..been working ever since..
I plan to replace the motor itself.. soon...
good luck
I had the same problem with my 87 - no time to take things apart so I just sprayed in some contact cleaner and moved the switch through all positions (car turned off). Everything works again (same thing worked for hatch release switches in my doors)
If anyone needs the motor itself, let me know. I have one on the parts car I was about to remove to sell off. (already sold the control board cap on the front). Previous owner said it worked the last time it was used.
I think I got a used door switch for the wipers as well.
I've had to re-solder the power connections on several mid-to-late-90's GM cars with similar symptoms. If you can get the motor off, remove the plastic cover and you'll often find the solder joints cracked where the pins meet the board. Just heat them each back up to re-melt the solder and your fix is free.
