I would appreciate any suggestions for injectors for a 1991 Corvette. I have looked at the web site for FiveO Motor Parts and they show: (1) a Yellow Top injector made by Bosch for Ford Mustang, (2) XF2E Design III injector by Bosch, (3) an LS1 injector by Bosch, and (4) a blue top injector by Bosch. Any of these suitable? How about FiveO parts for being a reputable vendor? Any and all suggestions would be helpful.
Sincerely,
Barry C Jolly
I have bought injectors from them before on the advice from others and the injectors I received were great. Fast shipping as well. I just went to their site on Ebay and went from there. You may want to get the injector clips as well since some are bound to break.
Barry: Good move on making this thread. I am sure you will get other suggestions or tips on what to buy. Recommed you stay with the 22 lb/hr flow rate injectors for your car.
fiveomotorsports sells used crap injectors. They claim they are new or reconditioned. Many forum members have been ripped off by that jerk. One member had to send back 3 sets because they were crap. You have tp pay the shipping plus 20% restocking fee for every return. Do a search on fiveomotorsports.

None of the injectors you listed are really suitable for a TPI 350 unless you want to do a chip change and/or harness adapters as part of the swap. You need to find a 22 lb/hr high impedence set. Bosch pink tops would work (the yellows are about 20# and the blues are about 25# at GM fuel pressure), but they're not as common. Delphi/lucas makes at set as does Siemens/Deca - I don't have the part #'s off the top of my head, but contact Racetronix and they'll point you in the right direction. Any of the above will be better than the ticking timebombs that are GM Multecs.

BADDUCK has a set of Standard Motor Products for sale in the ForSale forum. They are 22lb. (These are sold by NAPA/Summit).
ACCEL also makes a 21 and a 23lb injector that would also work. Also available from Summit.
If you buy used/reconditioned, they do not replace the electrical actuator (coil) that releases gasoline. But they are cleaned and measured. To me, a used one is prone to failure sooner since it's been in service longer. As I'm in the middle of the replacement project, you don't want to do it more than once!
Avoid 24 lb (or higher) injectors because they are likely to make your car run richer. And, you don't need that size unless you do several HP upgrades. Even 21 lb injectors are good to 300 HP! And, if you look at Vader's website, you'll see a fully modded L98 (heads/cam) pulling good times with original 22lb injectors. You don't need to go bigger.
The ECM will compensate -- by shortening/lengthening the pulse duration for bigger/smaller injectors. IMO, you'd want the same or smaller. I would think they'd atomize fuel better (than a shortened pulse larger injector).
I also bought re-conditioed injectors from "injectors4u" aka Motor Man Fuel Injection, and the car runs great. I would definately buy from Howard again. Walt

Actually, you tend to slam them in every post that their name is brought up. The majority of people seem to like them. In fact, if you go back and read the follow-up that you posted, you will see that the problem was that the person had the wires crossed. I was perfectly satisfied with their service as well as the injectors I received. As for doing a search, out of all the posts I read, you were the only person who had problems with them. Sounds to me like you have some issue with them.

Are you looking for an upgrade or factory replacements?
I'm looking for factory replacements. Just want dependable, reliable transportation from the car. Mine has more than enough 'zip'. Thanks for all the replys.

Installed my flow matched green tops from them about a week ago and they are great.
