Anyone ever use a Hypertech tuning module
I have a 1995 cope and I want to add some HP. Does the Hypertech tuning module help? or does it cause more problems rather then add to the performance? anyone ever use one, or know someone who has? if so what were the over all results.... Thanks for the feed back.

I used the HyperTech Power Programmer III on my '96 LT1 auto. The two main benefits were the option to program for 93 octane and to firm up shifts. Programming for the higher octane seems to bring in the timing a little earlier but nothing dramatic. The shift firmness however was very dramatic. The car feels like it has had a shift kit installed making that alone worth the price, bought used on that auction site. You can also turn on fans earlier but not necessary on mine. I wouldn't pay new prices, you can get a dyno tune for the same money, but I think around $200.00 is fair.
