I just picked up a set of seats for my 85... now I have 2 power seat bases. First of all, were dual power (standard) seats even offered in 85? Secondly, where would the seat controls be (where would I mount it) for the passenger seat? Would this be more of a pain than it's worth? The only C4's I've seen with dual power seats were, iirc, sport seats.

Dual power-seats were first offered on the 87's, as an option. Can't quite remember if it was only with the sports seats, but I think you could get it with the standard seats as well? I know - I would have liked them to be available when I ordered my L86 coupe, but for 86 only the driver's power seat was available.
Does anyone else know whether dual power seats were offered with standard seats or only sport? If I could convert the passenger seat, I'd like to look into it.
You might need a console frame from an '87-'89. The switches will mount inside the coin tray. The right side will be mirrored from the left. The '84-'86 frame might not have the mounting boxes molded in as on the left side. Make sure that your harnesses match your motor plugs. '84-'86 have brown plugs with round pins. '87 and up have motor plugs with black connectors and flat pins. The right side switch harness will plug into the power source in the console. The left side power will plug into the right side harness. If you have the sport option, that will plug in between the switch harness and the motor harness on each side.
