Default Adjusting the throttle cable?

When I've installed tranny back on car, while setting TV cable, I've
discovered that the accelerator pedal isn't opening the throttle body
butterflies all the way.

Can the throttle cable be adjusted and how?

If it is only a small difference it's unlikely to matter. I didn't like that though and did adjust it. I had to slot the cable bracket so that it could be moved a small amount.

It's not much but I also don't like it. And I especially don't like that I've set TV cable with depressing TB linkage by hand, not by accelerator pedal, and that means that TV valve will also not be fully depressed when I floor it.
Looks like I'll have to improvize like you did.

That's often the case where you set the TV cable correctly it reaches it's limit before the throttle hits the stops. You have to re arrange the geometry of the throttle arm.You can do as Aardwolf suggests or take a look at this.www.tvmadeez.com. This is a great bit of kit but not cheap. It allows full throttle and perfect tuning of the TV cable. The other option is a $5 spring that fits between the end swage on the TV cable and the mount on the throttle arm. When you go full open it pulls the TV cable to it's full extent then the spring compresses and allows that last bit of opening on the throttle.www.400raptor.com has them.

On my 87, I switched the positions of the 2 throttle cables(where they plug into the bracket), and it was enough to allow for full throttle opening.

Snapped a few quick pix of the slotted bracket:

Full WOT at the pedal and the TB with it like that.
