When driving the car for more than 10 minutes for about the same speed, around 55Mph, the check engine light comes on. Under city driving, or blasts at the track...nothing. Also does not feel different when the light comes on. Lookse like its a code 32? What does that mean?

Re: Need quick help with an engine code (TexCorvette)
According to my maintenance book:
Code 32 is the Exhaust Gas Recirculation Circuit.
Check the vacuum source and all vacuum lines. check the system electrical connectors at the ECM and EGR valve. Replace the EFR valve or ECM as necessary.
Re: Need quick help with an engine code (TexCorvette)
Typically thats that is a sign of the EGR switch that resides on top of the EGR valve... it's a very cheap part (under 15 bucks) but with the air pump being removed.. it's anyones guess if thats the cause.
Re: Need quick help with an engine code (Springer's 95)
Hope I hear from BPP by monday. Could this be hurting performance, my tuned SOTP meter does not feel it :) Without the pump, I'm sure the switch would do no good?

Re: Need quick help with an engine code (TexCorvette)
AIR pump has nothing to do with EGR. Check to make sure you did no knock off a vacuum line near the gooseneck when working on the AIR pump removal. You need to do general EGR troubleshooting.
You need to determine first if it's really code 32 or some other code. There are directions here on how to do that and what they mean: http://home.fuse.net/c4/ecm_codes.htm
I just went through the code 32 thing with my '87. Ended up being the EGR valve. There are several threads on the subject which I've started over the past few weeks if you want to do a search. It's relatively straight forward to do yourself. Heck, I managed to muddle my way though it just fine. :D
