I have not tried it at the track yet but it would seem that I would get to much wheelspin if I tried a 1-2 powershift. I already do the 2-3 and 3-4. I have street tires and 3.91 gears.
You can gain a couple of tenth's on the dradstrip powershifting in all of the gears. The way it is performed is the keep the gas pedal pinned and quickly push in the clutch and shift to the next gear. This takes a lot of practice to be performed properly.

And let out or side step the split second the shifter is locked in the gear, depending on how far you have to let out the clutch before it engages the driveline, sometimes you will already be leting off the clutch just an instance prior to getting it all the way in gear, its extremely fast, precise and very useful and beneficial when done correctly 1-2 is fairly simple, 3-4 is the toughy for first timers, you'll get it ifyour well quainted with your vette!! good luck
