I have heads/cam, headers, tune, etc.
Will a LT4 knock module that is less sensitive help make a little more power by reducing false knock from all the noise?
If you are getting false knock, yes it should work.
Concur w/STL94LT1. When I had the PCM tuned on my 95 the tech said I was reading about 20 degrees of ignition being pulled out with the stock LT1 module - tyhen dropped off to 6 degrees with just the change over to LT-4 and now - ZERO with PCM tune..........for comparisons - I have shortie headers, 1.6 rockers, springs, hi-flow-cats and 3 ich of magnaflow exhaust - front to rear .....
Does this mean I should use an LT4 knock sensor in my car? even though its stock? and I will have noticable better power from not having my timing advanced so much? Or does it mean I need to see if my timing is advanced at all and if it is then I should use the LT4 knock sensor.
I don't know if I'm getting knock, but figured I might with all the extra noise, and they are not a lot of $ so I figured give it a shot if the consensus is that it will probably help at least a little.

I can't speak for the validity or put my finger on it now, but i just read somewhere that if you are replacing stock LT1 rockers with full rollers it is recommended to install the LT4 Knock module. It is easy and around $50.
I know that some are concerned that the LT4 knock module will not detect minor detonation, but I figure that if they are working on stock Lt4 cars they should be fine on the LT1 with the roller rockers too.
