With an early LT1 your options are limited by that opti's drive design as well as the factory water pump design that affects all LTx engines in timing set selection. If you upgrade to the later opti and an electric water pump, then you can use timing sets for any later SBC. Otherwise you're limited to stock, the sometimes troublesome ED set or other expensive after-market sets, none of which will be true double rollers. Do a search for more info as this subject's been covered many times in great detail.
For several years I ran the early LT1 timing set with a 521/536 lift camshaft. The car made at least 40 runs at the track without a failure. I don't think that camshaft lift will have an effect on your timing chain.
Now I'm running a 605/622 lift camshaft with a Gen II opti, e water pump, and a Cloyes 9-3145 double roller timing set.
Cloyes makes a heavy duty replacement chain and gear set for the early LT1, although it is not a double roller chain. The part no. is Cloyes CLO-C-3039, available through Summit for around $89 or so.
I have not installed mine yet, but I will be soon. There are some others on the forum running the same chain because we are running a stock water pump rather than the electric.
There area more expensive alternatives, but I'd hate to spend over $250 for a timing set. If you want a true roller chain then you will need to do a search on the Mezzarie electric water pump upgrade to see what you will need to change over. IMHO it was not worth all the mods just to run the double roller chain set.

This would be the perfict time to change to an electric water pump. The mediocer timing sets available for LTX engines are pricie. Save the cost and go to a standard sbc double roller timing chain and electric waterpump for about the same price as the LTX timing set and add another 15 hp to your mod.
Well your English isn't too bad but your attitude leaves something to be desired. Can you try and be a little less Russian? Could work wonders.
sorry to tell you but corvette forum has members from all over the world and many don't speak or understand your definition of proper English that's no reason to make fun of them.''be a little less Russian'' that's not cool . more and more i see newer members on here asking questions because they don't know ,and they get insulted and branded as idiots .that's not the way it should be,it might be common knowledge to you but new to them.take it easy on this guy
I just went down this very path a few weeks ago. I purchased two timing sets that were not what I wanted or didn't work. I got in touch with Lloyd Elliot of Elliot port works since he was the guy that did my heads and has a good amount of experience with LT1 engines. He told me to put a stock set back in it. Problem solved.
The only problem with using a stock set is that if you need to adjust your cam timing there is no provision for it and the Cam gear would need to be modified to accommodate the retard or advance using a bushing.
If you don't want to spend a ton of money replace it with a stock set.
