Default LT1--L99 Differences

I'm picking up an L99 from a friend of mine for spare parts (fuel rails, brackets, etc) for another project and would like to know what other parts are usable on an LT1. I've read the intake is different, but I'm not sure how. Any info or links would be greatly appreciated.

l99 intake has slightly smaller ports...lt1 intake casting number (look middle pass side near mtg bolt) ''1010xxxx''... l99 and lt4 have diff casting ...some l99's got the lt1 intake and vice/versa from factory

opti, water pump, lifters--same.

injectors,egr, block, heads,cam, crank, pistons -- different.

L99 is a 265 cubic inch version of the LT1. Essentially the Baby LT1.

OK, well obviously its a smaller version of an LT1 thats why I bought it for spare parts...

Redrose, do you know if the oil pan is like an F-body or does the B-body have its own pan. Thanks for the info.

F-body, B-body, and Y-body all use different pans on the lt1 block.....interestingly, the B-body pan on your l99 will fit 91-96 B-bods, and as you prolly know , 91-93 were sbc1 engines, 94-96 were sbc2/lt1 (not to be confused with sb-2 race motors which are unique)

btw, some 9c-1 police cars have l99 power, most found in large city fleets that spend vast majority of their life at minimum speeds...drove one of those and was a bit surprised by the ''attitude'' it showed.
