I scrubbed the bores and the pivot points at the butterflies, used brake clean, then wd40.
The result is no more sticking at 1500 but it idles at 1000. Maybe the computer needs some time?
Zora55_56: I cannot determine what year of car you own since you have not completed your profile. Please do this when you have time and advise if you need help on this.
Assuming you have a L98 engine, I would recommend the next step would be to adjust the base idle of the engine. Do this before you start throwing new parts at the problem. I have a copy of the Gordon Killebrew procedue for doing this important engine tune up procedure. Please advise if you want a copy.
More than likely the bores in the TB casting are worn and need to be bushed or the TB replaced.

The bores for the throttle SHAFT where it turns and wears in the pot metal, TB, casting, as the throttle is worked, not the throttle plate bores. Now that the "pivot points" (shaft bores?) are cleaned up, some lube in them may help, temporally. The computer doesn't need time to learn. The minimum air, refered to above as the "base idle", adjustment procedure is also in your FSM.
