I have been reading allot of the old threads, archived etc about split BLMs. There are fixes, some work pretty good. But I have noticed there are allot of people that agree, LTx engines have a split BLM issue, especially with bigger cams and ported heads and or manifolds.
So, I was curious if anyone has dynoed/datalogged the new LTx manifolds from Edlebrock and if they have noticed any changes in the BLMs?
I have the edelbrock LT4 intake that I am putting on a solid roller 396 with AFR LT4 210's within the month. I will not have any before info but will have some after info.
Problem is, my numbers will not reflect the intake in factory form as we are doing some port work and clean-up to match the AFR's and then heading to the engine dyno for tuning. I won't even have numbers for the motor pre-intake as this is a fresh build. I am just hoping that the intake flows well to support the rest of my build.
I am going to try to stick with the factory ECU and will let everyone know what I find regarding the BLM's. Right now, I am searching for a basic BIN (the car is a 93 6-speed) to get the thing running to tune from there. Probably heading to moates site to get that starting BIN unless someone here might have one.
I have not been able to find anyone posting anything on the edelbrock intake at all. I went with edelbrock as factory LT4 pieces are big $$ and/or hard to find and sheet metal pieces are beyond costly. I hope this thing works.
