Gage Lights dim backwards

Gage Lights dim backwards
The sensor on the dash(90 coupe) seems to be working backwards. When the sun goes down the gage lights dim and vice-versa. Ther is no info in the manual. Any ideas?

Your dash is working like it was designed to. Bright light will desensitise your eyesight and greatly reduce your night vision, therefore the dash lights are dimmed electronically when the ambient light is reduced.

Welcome to the forum. That's how its sipposed to work. You see, when in full daylight, the dash will increase in brightness in order to overcome the bright lighting conditions of sunlight. Hope this helps.
