I've been waiting on a rebuilt ECM for my '92 for 3 1/2 months from GM. I called again today and they say they have no clue when I will get it.
Does anyone know of any other sources for this impossible to find ECM?
Any rebuild companies to look for or watch out for?
Any suggestions are appreciated. I am thinking about turning the car into a planter, I think there are weeds and trees growing out the the hood already .
Yea, 92's are hard to find. A used one is a 50/50 gamble. If you search thru the RockAuto's, etc., you'll find ones rebuilt by CarDone(spelling) but people have had a lot of complaints about them.
You may want to call your local ACdelco guys, the 92 P/n is 88999183.
According to my local parts stores, even Cardone doesn't have any, but it sounds like they're not so good anyways. Might try Mid America unless I find one at a junkyard.
I can't speak to the quality of the workmanship as I have not used them yet. I'm looking for a rebuilder that can fix my 90 ZR-1 ECM. I sent an inquirey to them about my ECM's issue and that I want my ECM repaired. I have not heard back from them yet.
