Default Roller Rockers

I just ordered a comp cam 07-305-8 Xtreme Energy 276 (220-230) cam and comp cam roller lifters for my 93 Vette.
I am also going to upgrade to 1.6 Rockers. Would be any noticeable difference between the Comp cam Magnum Roller Tip, or GM Perfomance Full roller rocker?
The guy @ Comp Cam said I wouldn't need new springs and pushrods, the engine has 100k on it, any thoughts?
thanks
Ken

IMO the roller tip rockers are a waste of money the extra horse power roller rocker give is not from the tip its from the trunnion .roller tip rocker are basically a stock rocker with a roller tip over the valve stem. the gmpp rocker is better in every way then the just roller tips. the gmpp roller rockers are made by crane cams and are the gold race series crane also makes the lt4 hot cam for gm. basically roller rocker increases hp by reducing friction in the trunnion, the stock and roller tips use a ball and socket but full rollers have a needle bearing trunnion which has way less friction

The GM roller rockers are better. Also get the LT4 springs. You can get a whole set of springs for under $35. You shouldn't need push rods.

Default Thanks

Thanks for the info. I need to call Comp Cam to cancel the rockers especially since I checked the part number they told me and they were only 1.52.

Is there a preference between the BBD 52mm or Holly 52mm throttle bodies?

My engine builder said with my new setup that I should go to 30# injectors, any preference on brand?

Even though my water pump is ok, I suppose I should replace it while the front end is apart.... would you upgrade to electric? I have read this allows the upgrade to the vented opti, this sound like more work because of drive and plugging the hole in the cover and it starts getting into more $$ and I question the cost to benefit like any project. Anyone have a link to the process?

There is a member out there in the cyber world Nathan Phloem (not sure of last name or screen name) I came across his website which is awesome regarding LT1 performance upgrades, does anyone have his link or contact info?

Anyone order parts from GM Parts Direct, I noticed they are a sponsor?

Thanks
Ken

Hopefully, we are not talking about keeping the stock valve springs. Stock springs should be upgraded with any cam change.

Stock injectors should work just fine on your combo. But, if you must upgrade get the SVO's.

If you are going to upgrade to the Gen II vented opti you will need, 95/96 opti, 95/96 opti wire harness, 95/96 opti vaccuum harness, and
95 timing cover.

Also, if you are going to run the Gen II opti and e water pump, upgrade your timing chain to a Cloyes double roller.

If you are after a vented opti, you can get the upgraded MSD opti for your year car that is vented by design.

What everybody else said, except you may want to go ahead and order some chrome-moly pushrods. Port your heads to really take advantage of the cam swap. I have a 52mm BBK, but the stock tb is really all you need. 24# SVO blue-tops.
